1408 (2007)

Film thriller-horor yang diangkat dari cerita karya raja horor Stephen King ini berkisah tentang Mike Einslein (John Cusack), seorang penulis novel horor yang baru saja kehilangan putrinya yang meninggal akibat sakit.

Suatu hari Mike mendapatkan sebuah kartu pos dari orang tak dikenal yang bergambar Dolphin Hotel di New York. Kartu pos itu berisi tulisan “Jangan masuk 1408″. Ia menjadi penasaran dan memeriksa dokumen lama yang berisi tentang hotel berikut kamar 1408 yang dikatakan horror dan telah membunuh puluhan orang penghuninya. Merasa tertantang, Mike menghubungi hotel tersebut. Sayang pihak hotel menyatakan kamar tersebut tidak untuk disewakan. Namun Mike berkeras.

Sesampainya di hotel, Mike disambut manajer hotel, Gerald Olin (Samuel L Jackson) yang mengingatkan Mike akan bahaya yang dihadapinya. Siapa pun yang pernah memasuki kamar 1408, tidak akan bertahan lebih dari satu jam. Namun Mike yang skeptis berkeras. Akhirnya ia pun menginap di kamar tersebut. Dan petualangan Mike dimulai.

Apakah Mike bisa mengungkapkan misteri kamar tersebut dalam penelitiannya? Atau sebaliknya, Mike akan bernasib sama dengan penghuni-penghuni sebelumnya?

100 Feet (2008)

A young woman, Marnie Watson, is granted early release from her prison sentence for manslaughter (killing her husband - a violent NYC cop - in self defense) on condition she wear an electronic ankle bracelet and remain within her home, effectively under house arrest, for the remainder of her sentence. Her late husband's partner keeps tabs on her from a patrol car parked across the street, hoping she'll violate probation and he can send her back to prison. But the 100-foot radius her ankle bracelet allows isn't the worst of her problems. Her dead husband --now a malevolent ghost--is still in the house, where he died -- intent on savage revenge.

Dua bocah Tammy dan Andy yang bisa bertemu kembali dengan ayahnya. Namun ia tidak menduga bisa bertemu dengan ibunya, bernama Alice yang mereka kira sudah tewas. Hanya saja Alice masih terifeksi. Saat itu muncul masalah serius. Tim dokter tidak sepakat, apakah Alice harus dibunuh atau diselamatkan. Sementara Alice sendiri mulai menularkan virus itu ke suaminya. Dan, bencana itu kembali terjadi.

Film ini akan lebih menarik jika anda mengikuti prekuel sebelumnya, Film 28 Days Later yang digarap Danny Boyle pada 2002.

28 Days Later (2002)

Sebuah lab top secret diserang oleh beberapa aktivis pembela hak-hak hewan (animal right) dengan maksud untuk membebaskan simpanse-simpanse yang dijadikan bahan percobaan di lab tersebut. Namun mereka tidak menyadari bahwa simpanse-simpanse tersebut telah mengidap virus yang sangat berbahaya yang bernama Rage. Akhirnya virus tersebut menjangkiti manusia. Dalam 10 detik, manusia yang terinfeksi akan berubah menjadi zombie. Virus tersebut menyebar sangat cepat ke seluruh dunia dan membuat kelangsungan hidup manusia mejadi terancam.
28 hari kemudian, Jim(Cillian Murphy) terbangun dari koma panjang di sebuah rumah sakit di London, Jim kemudian menyadari bahwa kota London sudah menjadi kota mati. Kemudian dia bertemu dengan beberapa manusia yang belum terinfeksi. Suatu hari terdengar berita melalui siaran gelombang radio bahwa di kota Manchaster terdapat Armada militer dan fasilitas rumah sakit. Mereka pun sepakat untuk berusaha mencapai kota Menchester untuk meneruskan kelangsungan hidup mereka dan melawan virus itu.
Tetapi setelah sampai di Manchester, mereka tidak mendapati seperti yang mereka harapkan, Armada militer dan fasilitas rumah sakit yang dijanjikan ternyata omong kosong, dan mereka (survivor) harus berhadapan dengan sekelompok manusia-manusia yang bertabiat lebih buruk daripada para zombie.

24: Redemption (2008)

Redemption begins with a brief prologue showing a young boy being kidnapped at night, indoctrinated, and drafted along with other boys into a rebel militia so they could take part in a coup d'état, which is being funded by a shadow organization led by Jonas Hodges (Jon Voight).
While Bauer performs missionary work at the Okavango school in Sangala, U.S. embassy official Frank Trammel (Gil Bellows) serves him a subpoena to appear before the Senate regarding torture charges, but Bauer refuses to go. Upon hearing the embassy will cut funding to Benton's school if it continues to protect him, he decides to leave. Meanwhile, several children playing soccer are ambushed by Juma's rebel soldiers and kidnapped for conscription. When two boys run away, the soldiers open fire, killing one. Benton learns that the rebels are planning to attack his school. He calls Bauer, who hides the children in an underground shelter, and kills several rebels before getting captured and tortured. Benton is able to ambush the remaining soldiers, and Bauer kills the leader, Youssou Dubaku (Zolile Nokwe). His brother, Iké (Hakeem Kae-Kazim) hears of his death and plots revenge, while Bauer and Benton leave with the children to get to the American embassy in the capital before the final helicopter evacuates the country

In Washington, D.C., Chris Whitley (Kris Lemche) is ordered by the conspirators who fund Juma's militia to erase all information that would incriminate them. Instead, he calls his friend Roger Taylor (Eric Lively), the son of President Elect Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones), for help. After Roger hears of the conspiracy, Whitley returns to his home to forward the files, only to be stopped by Hodges's men, who take the information, kill Whitley and bury the body in concrete.[3]
Benton, Bauer and the boys are spotted by Iké's helicopter. While they flee into the forest, Benton steps on a land mine. With little time to disarm it, Benton urges Bauer to leave, so he can buy time. When he is surrounded by Iké and his men, Benton takes his foot off the trigger and detonates the mine, killing himself and the rebels, though Iké survives. Bauer and the children continue to the capital, where he defeats another rebel ambush. At the gates of the embassy, Trammel denies the children entry and blackmails Bauer into surrendering for the children's safety. He reluctantly accepts, thus sacrificing his freedom. While Taylor is inaugurated President, Bauer and the children evacuate, leaving chaotic Sangala behind.
